Energy … Installation of Rachedi Menadi at head of CREG

M. Rachedi Menadi was installed, on Monday, as chairman of the Electricity and Gas Regulatory Commission (CREG) replacing Mr. Abdelkader Choual, said a statement from the Ministry of Energy.

The Minister of Energy, Abdelmadjid Attar, who installed the new Chairman of the CREG, in the presence of the Presidents of Agencies, the CEO of Sonelgaz and executives of the Energy sector, affirmed that it was urgent to find the adequate solutions in order to respond, as soon as possible, to the numerous requests from industrial investors and farmers, relating to the electricity connection, while specifying that these connections will allow the creation of activities generating added value and employment positions.

On this occasion, the Minister congratulated Mr. Menadi, manager of the Ministry of Energy, for his new position by inviting him to redouble his efforts to bring more to the CREG, whose main mission is to ensure the application of laws governing electricity and gas. He, also, paid a great tribute to Mr. Choual, for his hard work and his efforts for the development of this agency as well as his contribution in meeting the demand for electricity and gas for households and investors.
