Inter-ministerial commission responsible for monitoring waste treatment projects

The Minister of the Environment, Nassira Benharrats hel, on Tuesday, an inter-ministerial meeting devoted to the treatment of industrial and petroleum waste at the end of which it was decided to create a joint commission to monitor the various industrial and petroleum waste treatment projects, said a statement from the ministry.

Held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Energy, the meeting was attended by the Minister of Energy, Abdelmadjid Attar, the Minister Delegate to the Minister of the Environment responsible for the Saharan environment, Hamza Al Sid Cheikh, as well as of the Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister in charge of micro-enterprises, Nassim Diafat.

The meeting was an opportunity to discuss the issue of integrating local micro-enterprises in the operation of treatment and elimination of industrial and petroleum waste.

Noting that the meeting resulted in the creation of an inter-ministerial commission to ensure the follow-up of this operation, the same source explained that the Ministry of the Environment aimed through this approach to support the creation of small businesses activating in the environmental protection, particularly those responsible for the treatment of industrial waste and projects for its recycling, particularly in the southern regions of the country.
